Louis van Gaal should think twice before attempting to bring Barcelona winger Pedro to Old Trafford - and that's because of one man: Angel di Maria.
United have been linked with a move for Barcelona's Spanish star in recent time, but he's not needed in Manchester; he really isn't.
Ok, we all know that the Argentine, who joined the Red Devils for a British record fee from Real Madrid this past summer, has endured a tricky time on English soil of late, but his time will come.
Struggles in Manchester
There's no doubt about, things haven't entirely gone to plan for Di Maria under the guidance of Louis van Gaal this season, but it would be ridiculous to write him off at this stage.
Di Maria is still learning and adjusting to the English game. Of course the monster fee that United splashed out in order to lure the Argentine to England isn't exactly helping him settle at the Theatre of Dreams, but he has more than enough class and quality to prove his credentials in Manchester.

In truth, injuries have taken their toll on Di Maria's debut season in England and other things have gone against him too. The recent controversies surrounding an attempted break in at his Manchester home certainly haven't helped.
And on the pitch, it has been difficult for him. Manchester United are still in a period of transition, and Di Maria is caught up in the middle of just that. He's not even found his best position at Old Trafford yet. But that's not his fault.
Van Gaal has had to move him around as he goes in search of finding his best team. Expect next season to be different, though. The United chief will no doubt make a couple more additions as he continues to find a balance for his side. And that's when Di Maria will thrive.
He's a superstar
Let's not forget how good he was at Real Madrid last season. Let's not forget that he was handed man of the match in the last Champions League final. And let's not forget that he is showing signs that he will become a top player at the Theatre of Dreams.
United fans should be excited by the future; Di Maria will most definitely be a huge part of it. He will find his feet sooner rather than later, and the player who has just turned 27-years-old will play out his best years in England. It's just a matter of time.
Signing Pedro would only cause more disruption for Di Maria. The Argentine international doesn't need to prove himself by going head-to-head with the Barcelona star for a place in the United side.
Of course Pedro would offer United a new dynamic in attack, but Di Maria can - and will - offer United an even better option.
Pedro is great, but there's no way Van Gaal will be giving up on Di Maria just yet.
