Partick Thistle Development Squad player Ben Richards-Everton has scored one of the finest own goals you will ever see, in a game against Dundee FC.
Utilising every ounce of talent in his body, Richards-Everton managed to bend an arching shot beyond the grasp of his own goalkeeper and into the top corner. How did he do it?
Under pressure from the Dundee forward in the U20 match in Arbroath's Gayfield Park, the youngster scampered towards his own goal, seemingly riddled with fear. He then took the decision to seemingly try and put it behind for a corner - or was it a pass-back? - which some how sailed into the top corner.
To be fair to the 22-year-old the swirling wind at the ground certainly played its part in the ridiculous own-goal, and fortunately his team fought back to claim a 2-1 win in the SPFL Development League tie.
However we're not letting him off that easily.
For our money this could be one of the most bizarre own goals of all time and it is unlikely to be topped anytime soon. The effort from Richards-Everton ranks right up there with this absolute beauty which, for the time being, remains GiveMeSport's ultimate own goal.
However the own-goal goes right in at number one for the best efforts in 2015. Quite the accolade I'm sure you will agree.
