GiveMeSport will be hosting a pre-qualifier in London later this month to find a wildcard entrant for the UK final of the FIFA Interactive World Cup.
The FIWC has become a global phenomenon in the gaming world, and is an event that GiveMeSport have covered for several years both nationally and internationally.
Nick Thain, Chief Executive Officer for GiveMeSport, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for GiveMeSport, and we look forward to offering UK gamers the chance to break into an elite competition in a very different way to the traditional route.”
GiveMeSport will hold the pre-qualifier in their London office at the end of February, with the winner becoming the ‘wildcard’ - thus securing their place in the UK final on Thursday, 5th March.
This wildcard event offers gamers a new way to get into the national final, providing an opportunity for any FIFA ’15 player to take the first steps towards proving they are the best player in the country.
Mark Bollons, Editor of GiveMeSport, said: “The FIWC is for every player, not just the hardcore gamer.
"This is another great way for the millions of people who play the game to get involved in an incredible tournament. It also showcases the desire of GiveMeSport to cover events that appeal to our huge audience.”
