Santi Cazorla has claimed Alexis Sanchez is just as hard-working and annoying on the Arsenal training ground as he is on the pitch. He also believes the Chilean is the best Premier League signing of the season.
Sanchez has been in sensational form in his debut season with the Gunners. Since joining from Barcelona in July, costing Arsenal a reported £35 million, he has scored 18 goals in all competitions.
Cazorla believes he has been more important than any other summer arrival in English football, including Chelsea's Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas.
"There were plenty of good signings - like Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas - but Alexis Sanchez has been huge for us"
A huge addition
"He's the best signing in the Premier League," Cazorla told Sport Magazine. "There were plenty of good signings - like Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas - but Alexis Sanchez has been huge for us.
"He's ambitious, he wants to get better with every training session, and it was positive for him to leave Barcelona. He's now playing with another mindset and he's playing fantastically."

The Chile forward has not only been deadly in front of goal, but he has been a creative influence in the side – he has already assisted nine goals in all competitions. His creativity is not nearly as impressive as his versatility, which has allowed Arsene Wenger to employ him in several positions already this season.
"Alexis is as intense and annoying in training as he is on the pitch"
However, it his extraordinary work-rate that has endeared him to Arsenal fans in rapid time. Sanchez never shies away from closing down a defender and regularly runs himself ragged in doing so. Cazorla has revealed that his intensity doesn't die down when he is on the training ground, insisting he is just as annoying to play against.
"Alexis is as intense and annoying in training as he is on the pitch," Cazorla said. "He's so into football that he doesn't want training to finish.
"Sometimes the manager is calling it off because training is over and Alexis is always kind of sad, because he loves to play football. His work ethic is a really positive influence for all of us."
Who is the signing of the season?
Sanchez has certainly been the standout player for Arsenal this season, but Cazorla's claim that he is the best signing is far from clear cut. While he is undoubtedly an exceptional addition, Fabregas of Chelsea has been equally incredible.
The Spaniard has already assisted 19 goals in all competitions and cost almost £10 million less than Sanchez. Those assists are sure to make the difference in the Premier League where Chelsea are leading by seven points.
