Swansea City boss Gary Monk might be busy preparing for this weekend’s clash against Manchester United, but he’s still found the time to praise Red Devils skipper Wayne Rooney. Monk said that the England international can thrive in midfield under Louis van Gaal, comparing him to Old Trafford hero Paul Scholes. United have been criticised recently for not playing Rooney in his natural position up front. Meanwhile last summer’s arrival Marcos Rojo has admitted that he needs to improve, although did say he was settling in well. The Argentina international arrived after a stellar World Cup, but conceded there was things he needed to work on.
