Real Madrid stars laugh at Gareth Bale after training ground fail

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale might well be the most expensive player in football history, but that doesn’t make him immune from the classic slipping-over-the-ball training ground fail.

The former Tottenham star, who cost Real Madrid a reported £86 million in the summer of 2013, was filmed - luckily for us, but unfortunately for poor old Bale - hitting the deck after miscontrolling the ball during a routine rondo.

Needless to say, Bale’s teammates saw the funny side and gave the Wales international some deserved stick.

Bale, perhaps aware that the training session was being filmed, looked a little embarrassed by the incident but laughed it off with his fellow Real Madrid stars.

Bale has netted 14 goals in 33 games so far this term, but his work ethic has - on occasions - been called into question by the club’s demanding supporters.

Last week, meanwhile, Manchester City star Frank Lampard urged the former Premier League star to become more selfish and lose some of his niceness in order to rediscover his best form.

How long will Gareth Bale spend at Real Madrid before he returns to England? And which club should he join next? Have your say in the comments below!
