Arsenal can attract the best in the world - David Dein

Published Add your comment

Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein has insisted that the Premier League’s new TV rights deal will enable clubs in England’s top flight to continue fighting for the world’s best players. The possible effects of the £5.1 billion deal have been a major talking point so far, but Dein believes it will have a positive impact, as the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain won’t have an advantage on English clubs in the transfer market. Arsenal are sure to be one of the clubs boosted by the extra finances, as they seek to compete for major trophies. Elsewhere diminutive playmaker Santi Cazorla has issued an apology to fans of former club Malaga, conceding that he knows there are people in Spain who still haven’t forgiven him for the way his transfer to Arsenal was handled back in 2012.
