Daniel Bryan's WrestleMania XXXI status is up in the air after his defeat to Roman Reigns at the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view.
There is no doubt that Bryan will be present at The Grandest Stage of Them All, but who he will face on Sunday March 29 is still to be determined.
Speculation has been rife for months that Bryan will face superstar wrestler Dolph Ziggler at WrestleMania XXXI, but now new reports suggest that Bryan could be facing a much less appealing opponent.
Bryan could face Sheamus at Mania, according to new reports, in a move that is likely to leave the WWE Universe bitterly disappointed.
"Coming out of WWE Fastlane last night, it was said backstage that Daniel Bryan will be facing either Dolph Ziggler or Sheamus at WrestleMania 31," NoDQ reported.
Such a decision by the WWE to pit Bryan against Sheamus again would not go down well with fans, who will be hoping that the top brass in WWE stick to the original plan of putting Bryan up against Ziggler at Mania.
Reigns vs Lesnar at Mania
Meanwhile, the response to Bryan's loss at Fastlane has been much less intense than the Royal Rumble furore, and WWE fans inside the arena's around America have been slowly warming to Reigns again.
Reigns will now face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXXI for the WWE Heavyweight Championship belt in a match that the majority of the WWE Universe are really looking forward to.
One of the biggest reasons that Reigns vs Lesnar is going to be such a treat for fans is because from a realism standpoint, Reigns is the perfect wrestler to test Lesnar because a tough contest between the two is very believable.
To add to this, it now seems likely that Lesnar will in fact stay in WWE beyond his current contract, which runs out after WrestleMania XXXI. Concussion fears have forced Lesnar to rethink a move back to UFC, and its thought that he will resign with WWE after Mania.
