Brazilian ace Danilo has rejected a new contract offer at Porto as speculation surrounding his long term future continues.
This has been reported by the Mirror, who have suggested that some of Europe's biggest clubs have been put on alert by his failure to extend his current deal with the Portuguese outfit.
In fact, as many as three clubs have been credited with interest in his signature, with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid all seemingly in the race to land him in the near future.
The report from the Mirror has in fact claimed that Porto want to offer the 23-year-old a deal that would keep him at the club until 2017, while putting in place a buy-out clause worth £40 million.
However, it appears that his long term future could lie away from Estadio do Dragao, but it remains to be seen as to whether the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Co. step up their interest in the player anytime soon.

At just 23-years-old, Danilo has already racked up 11 caps for the Brazilian national side, so would no doubt prove quite the coup for some of the Premier League's elite clubs.
They're both in need
There's no doubt about it, both Manchester United and Liverpool are in need of improving in the defensive department this summer.
Manchester United, under the Louis van Gaal regime, have looked vulnerable at the back for long periods of the season. In the right-back position, the United chief has used a number of players, with the likes of Antonio Valencia, Paddy McNair and Rafael da Silva all having been used on occasions.
And, in truth, no one has been able to cement their place as the club's No.1 right-back, so Van Gaal must act sooner rather than later.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are also in need, with the same report from the Mirror claiming that English full-back Glen Johnson is set to depart Merseyside. In truth, the Reds have improved at the back under Rodgers in recent time, but they will certainly need to add to their options once again this summer.
Perhaps, then, Manchester United and Liverpool should go head-to-head for the exciting Brazilian.
