John Cena has become Vince McMahon's most trusted wrestler over the past decade or so - rising to the very top of the WWE tree as the ultimate baby face of the organization.
McMahon was disgusted
Now though the WWE Superstar, in speaking to WWE.com about his first meeting with Vince McMahon, has revealed the frankly awkward response he received from the WWE CEO.
Indeed there was one particular issue with Cena that left McMahon "disgusted" with the wrestler dragged to stand before him in his office.
"They literally dragged me by the arm to Vince's office, threw me in and asked him, 'What do you think?', explained John Cena as he recalled the night of his WWE TV debut.
"I had ridiculously ugly, long, super-dyed blond hair that was shaved bald on the sides. He [Vince McMahon] turned around and with a disgusted look on his face, he said, 'Cut his hair,' and I was whisked away from Vince like an assembly line."

The story only adds to the aura that surrounds Vince McMahon - a man known for his controlling demeanour and outrageous demands.
Although to be fair to the big man on this occasion, judging by the pictures of a pre-WWE John Cena, he had every right to be repulsed by the young wrestler.
Never looked back
"That was the first time I met Vince McMahon and he was disgusted to look at me."
"They shipped me out and I immediately got a haircut, which was not dyed blond, but equally as horrible."
John Cena did indeed make his TV debut that very night in Chicago, taking on Kurt Angle (complete with new hair do).
Cena gave a good account of himself that night and it is fair to say he hasn't looked back since. The polarizing Superstar has won 12 WWE Championships and three World Heavyweight Titles, and two Wrestler of the Year awards.
He has become Vince McMahon's go to guy in the process and, while his popularity may be on the wain amongst the WWE Universe, John Cena has one hairdresser to thank for helping him kick it all off back in June 2002.
