Although it has been sometime since his departure from WWE, any news surrounding CM Punk is often a hot topic with many members of the WWE Universe.
This time around, it may have only been a tweet made by Punk, but what he could be suggesting has meant that he has been the subject of several wrestling rumours once again.
Having recently announced his return to Ring Of Honour, Samoa Joe tweeted the following regarding his decision: "Just a disclaimer the ride this year is going to be a wild & unpredictable one. You have been warned."
As if the tweet was not intriguing enough, it prompted a reply from one other than previous top WWE wrestler Punk, who said: "I owe you one, PAL."
On the face of it, the 36-year-old's response could well mean that he is stating to Joe that he owes him a match, which would be something spectacular should we see a return to the ring for Punk, even if it is a one-off and on a smaller scale than what we are used to seeing him in.
However, the former Straight Edge Saviour undoubtedly knows how to excite fans by using few words, and has regularly taken to Twitter in the past to suggest a future occurrence.
At present, Punk is in training for the UFC which will unquestionably be taking up near enough all of his time.
A small match at Ring Of Honour however, would certainly not be entirely out of the question, especially seeing as it would appear to be a one-time match.
Should this match happen, there is no doubt that it would please professional wrestling fans and would surely not have too much of an impact on Punk's schedule and focus on UFC.
How Punk's management at UFC would feel about this possible event is of high importance as well as should he pick up any injury in the ring, it would certainly not be well received by those aiding Punk in his preparation for UFC.
Realistically however, talk of this match could well be just that, and it is likely that it may well never actually take place anytime soon.
The idea though, is one which professional wrestling fans can comfortably be excited by, with those at Ring Of Honour also being intrigued by even the prospect of such a huge booking.
