Manchester United winger Angel di Maria has admitted that he is still looking to improve as he continues to settle at Old Trafford, reports the club's official site.
The Argentine international, who joined the Red Devils for a club record fee towards the end of last summer's transfer window, enjoyed an incredible start to his Premier League career as he picked up the club's Player of the Month award for September, however he's endured an inconsistent period of late.
Di Maria, though, doesn't seem to be fazed by his form of late, insisting that it has always taken him a while to completely settle in new countries.
The former Real Madrid man has insisted that he's focussed on improving and will no doubt be hoping to play a key role for the Red Devils from now until the end of the campaign.
"I started off quite well but I think that then made expectations rise and everyone thought I would just carry on in the same way. But football is like that, sometimes you have these ups and downs.

"It took me a while to settle fully in each of the countries where I’ve played before. I just have to keep working hard and focusing on what I want, which is to do as well as I possibly can."
There's no doubt about it, after such an explosive start to his Old Trafford career, the Red Devils faithful would have expected their big-money signing to play a leading role for the club throughout the season, however he's yet to find his best form for the club on a consistent basis.
With eight assists in 18 Premier League games, however, Di Maria does have the second best assist tally in the division, so things certainly aren't going terrible for the Argentine.
He will come good
There's no doubt about it, the majority of United fans still hold hope of Di Maria achieving great things at the club, but will certainly be hoping that he proves his credentials sooner rather than later.
Di Maria will certainly play a huge role between now and the end of the season, but in truth, United fans won't see the best of their Argentine until the 2015/16 campaign. Red Devils chief Van Gaal must also hand the versatile midfielder a permanent position if he wants to see the best of him. One thing's for sure, Di Maria still has a lot to offer United.
