Petr Cech may well have played in his last cup final for Chelsea. That’s a sad truth made all the more feasible by the fact that Jose Mourinho is busy looking out for the Stamford Bridge legend’s ideal replacement. Reports this morning claim that the Czech international could well find a new club in the summer, with more than one overseas outfit interested in him. Outlandish rumours yesterday that Brad Friedel would be Mourinho’s go-to-man now appear predictably unfounded, although the American stopper might make a suitable number three. It’s thought Cech’s replacement at No.2 will instead be a considerably younger player. Elsewhere Thorgan Hazard has admitted he does want to play for Chelsea in the future, despite making a move to Borussia Moenchengladbach last month. The midfielder is eyeing a return after completing his development. Here’s to hoping for shades of Nemanja Matic.
