Manchester United fans want five new signings to make their dream XI for next season, according to the Manchester Evening News.
MEN recently conducted a poll to ask United fans which players they'd like to sign and ultimately make the club's starting XI for the 2015/16 campaign.
And the results revealed that supporters want to see as many as five new signings this summer, with the likes of Nathaniel Clyne, Mats Hummels, Memphis Depay, Paul Pogba and Robert Lewandowski all being purchased.

In fact, fans opted to keep just six members of Van Gaal's current side in the team, with David de Gea, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Wayne Rooney all getting the nod.
Still in need?
There's no doubt about it, despite Van Gaal coming in last summer, the Red Devils have struggled at times throughout the course of the campaign, and still don't look the same irresistible force like years gone by.

In fact, United could yet miss out on a place in next year's Champions League, with Van Gaal's side just two points ahead of rivals Liverpool in the Premier League table.
However, fans will no doubt be excited by the prospect of another summer of spending, but it remains to be seen as to whether the club can lure top names like Hummels and Lewandowski to the club.
One thing's for sure, despite the side's ongoing troubles on the field, it's an exciting time to be a fan of the club, as they look to regain their place amongst the big-boys of European football.
Fans' dream XI

There's no doubt about it, the fans' dream XI would no doubt prove quite the side, but it's surely unlikely that Van Gaal will add so many players to his squad once again next summer.
After splashing the cash before the start of this campaign, perhaps the United hierarchy would be better making two or three key signings for important positions when the next window comes around.
Plans may also depend on whether the Red Devils are able to secure Champions League football for next season, so the club's current crop of players must step up over the coming weeks and months.
