On his way out?
Speaking to AS about the striker, Cysterpiller said: “We know that a lot of big clubs are watching Luciano Vietto.
"There is a lot of competition for him.
"He could sign for Liverpool, we know that he is admired by the Reds, as well as Real Madrid and two Bundesliga clubs.
"I think he could leave Villarreal in the summer.”
It now remains to be seen as to whether Liverpool step up their interest in the forward anytime soon, but they may well want to act quickly if they're going to land him this summer.
Liverpool are in need
There's no doubt about it, Liverpool are certainly in need of improvement in the attacking department. In truth, the duo of Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert have failed to impress this term, with versatile forward Raheem Sterling often being used in the striker's role.
With Belgian youngster Divock Origi set to link up with the club at the end of the season, Reds boss Rodgers is clearly planning for the future, so should look to bring Vietto to the club.
In fact, Vietto would probably prove a great option than either of Lambert or Balotelli almost immediately. 16 goals domestically and on the European scene is not bad going for a 21-year-old, so he seems worth the gamble.
