Thibaut Courtois just can’t stop winning things, with the Chelsea goalkeeper this time taking the title of club's best FIFA 15 player.
This is according to his teammate Cesar Azpilicueta, who revealed that the young Belgian is not only the safest hands in London, but also the most revered gamer in the Chelsea dressing room.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Azpilicueta said: “Thibaut is the best." Although the Spaniard doesn't too shabby himself, adding: "[Last time we played] it was a draw, I’m not too bad. I’ve spent a couple of hours playing.”
Azpilicueta was appearing at the FIFA Interactive Cup: UK Qualifiers where he actually beat the eventual winner 3-0. But perhaps the champion, Dean Coombes, will blame fatigue for this surprise defeat.
The Chelsea full-back says that his expertise likely come from a spell he spent out injured a few years, although he does believe that being a professional football also helps when playing virtually.
He added: “It helps because obviously you know the movements to make as a defender, sometimes it is hard though as you have to press so many buttons.
“It’s amazing to see yourself there playing, and you can see the realism of the players and stadiums, it’s very good.”
But Azpilicueta does doubt that he has what it takes to be a manager, even after all his FIFA experience; “well you don’t control the emotions of the players, and they don’t say anything so it’s easier.”
