The WWE will, in the coming days, be searching for a new NXT head trainer after former incumbent, Bill DeMott, stepped down from the role on Friday amidst mounting rumor and speculation.
DeMott announced his decision to leave the position he has held for a number of years by posting a message to his Twitter account. He vehemently denied any wrong doing in said message.
The development comes after recent controversy in which DeMott had been accused of mistreating and "abusing" wrestlers.

Bill DeMott's Tweet confirming his departure reads as follows:
Over the past few days numerous former wrestling talents previously under DeMott's charge have levelled accusation against him. These have ranged from sexism and racism to bullying with the likes of Judas Devlin, EC3, Trent Baretta and Briley Pierce speaking out to varying degrees.

Only earlier today another allegation was directed against DeMott, this time via indie female star Terra Callaway. She accused her former coach of racism - claiming he called a Middle Eastern trainee by a number of derogatory names including "terrorist" and "Aladdin."
The now ex-NXT head of performance added some more information on his exit with an extended message via Twitlonger:
"I deny the recent allegations made about me, however, to avoid any embarrassment or damage to the WWE, I've decided to step down from my role effective immediately."
The move may come as a surprise to many within the WWE Universe what with the WWE having cleared DeMott of any wrong doing after conducting their own in-house investigation.
At this stage it is unclear whether DeMott's decision to step down from his role was a decision he made himself, or whether the higher ups in the WWE effectively made the call for him.
However, what is clear is that the NXT talent will be under new guidance going forward. With the WWE's breeding ground for talent having been enjoying good success in the ring in recent times it will be interesting to see how this affects things from here on in.
