The father of Chelsea ace Kurt Zouma has revealed how surprised both he and his son are at how the move to Stamford Bridge has turned out, with the young French defender now a regular fixture in Jose Mourinho’s side. Zouma moved to Chelsea from Saint-Etienne last summer but was expected to be a rarely-used backup in his first full season in west London. In contrast though he’s become an important player, and his father has opened up on the topic. Meanwhile Chelsea have yet to offer key man Branislav Ivanovic a new deal, despite reports stating to the contrary, according to the Daily Mail. The Serbian defender is a vital part of Mourinho’s squad and is also said to be attracting interest from Real Madrid.
