Manchester United outcast Javier Hernandez looks certain to leave Old Trafford come the summer and one of Louis van Gaal's top four rivals have been watching him and are considering a bid.
According to the Daily Mirror, Southampton are preparing to make an offer in the coming transfer window after Manchester United made it known they are open to selling the Mexican striker.
Hernandez is currently in the middle of a season-long loan at Real Madrid, but it has not been a happy time for him. Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale are all ahead of him in the pecking order and don't look like being budged.

Ronald Koeman is in need of some goals in his side, as top scorer Graziano Pelle has struggled to score in the recent weeks and the Saints have only found the net once in their last four matches.
'Chicharito' has been unable to get any regular first team football for the past two seasons, but still has a pretty decent scoring rate. Koeman needs to build on an already impressive season and the Southampton boss knows he'll be getting goals with Hernandez.
At the beginning of the Premier League season, sending the 26-year-old out on loan seemed to make sense for Manchester United. Radamel Falcao had joined Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney to boost the striker ranks, so little playing time was envisaged for him.
However, January provided Louis van Gaal with a chance to bring Hernandez back to Old Trafford, as the Dutchman has struggled all season to get goals from the front men. Well, from Van Persie and Falcao anyway, Rooney has been playing in midfield most of the time.
Hernandez may not have the physical presence to lead the line by himself, nor the game to play out wide, but he has always known where the goal is. Even when playing poorly, the 'Little Pea' has a knack of sniffing out a score.
With the problems Van Gaal has been having with goals this season, having the Mexican at his disposal would be very useful. Even just to bring off the bench for the numerous times the Red Devils have been in search of a goal.
