Free Agency opens on Tuesday afternoon and one of the deals that had been reportedly signed and sealed now appears to have fallen through.

Ndamukong Suh is set to sign with the Miami Dolphins and Julius Thomas is seemingly on his way to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The world may be waiting on news about the next destination of former Dallas Cowboys runningback DeMarco Murray, but we appear to be set for our first sage of free agency.

Several teams have reportedly been busy in the pre- free agency scramble but there has been one who have been busier than most.

The Philadelphia Eagles have already made some big headlines this week following that blockbuster trade that sent LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills for linebacker Kiko Alonso.

But one huge double swoop has been expected to happen for the Eagles for several days now and that is former San Francisco 49ers runningback Frank Gore and former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Byron Maxwell.

However one of those men has appears to have been swayed by the chance to play with another up and coming team in the NFL.

Gore - who has spent all 10 years of his NFL career with the 49ers has reportedly gotten cold feet over the move to the Eagles.

He would have been a good option to replace McCoy but rumours are that he could now be on his way to the Indianapolis Colts instead.

The Colts reached the AFC Championship game last season and were convincingly beaten by the New England Patriots.

But their offense was the most impressive all season and now that they have confirmed that they will not re-sign Reggie Wayne, Gore could be their number one target.

A step up?

The question becomes, where would be better for Gore, Philadelphia or Indianapolis?

Both teams are in need of a quarterback whilst both also had impressive seasons last year.

However the Colts rose higher than the Eagles and on the shoulders of the fastest rising quarterback in the league, they had one of the most impressive passing offenses in NFL history.

Another big runningback like Frank Gore coming into Indianapolis certainly puts them into the Super Bowl picture, but will there be another twist before this one is finished?
