Guanacasteca defender scores amazing own goal against Puntarenas

There are good goals. There are great goals. There are own goals. Then there are great own goals. 

Michael Duran of Costa Rican second division side Guanacasteca becomes the latest player to score what can surely be dubbed 'the best own goal ever'. 

After opposition side Puntarenas see a shot crash off the bar, Duran realises he is under no serious pressure. The number 23 decides to take the ball on his chest and head the ball back into the arms of his grateful goalkeeper.

Only the 'keeper isn't where Duran thinks he is.

The header loops desperately over the goalkeeper and nestles in the back of the net, much to the despair (and sheer anger) of some of his teammates.

The crazy own goal occurred on Sunday, as Puntarenas saw off Guanacasteca 3-1.

One suspects Duran has been in for extra training this week.
