GiveMeSport brings you the top stories grabbing the headlines in the WWE Universe right now...
We begin with a shocking revelation from one of John Cena’s long-time friends.
Boston Rapper Esoteric has gone on record this week to claim that Cena fought hard for a heel turn five years ago.
Speaking whilst making a recent appearance on The Asked Show to promote his upcoming album, Esoteric shed light on what would have been a major change for Cena's character:
"He had heel angles that never came to fruition...probably five years ago. It was something that he had come up with, and he had this concept."
In the rest of the interview, Esoteric adds that Cena even roped the artist in to help write the angle which would have seen the Superstar bring back his Dr. of Thuganomics gimmick. With the rapper having allegedly written lyrics for Cena during his early days in the WWE, he would have at least had some experience had Vince and co accepted John Cena's plan.
WrestleMania XXXI taking shape
Meanwhile last night’s RAW saw a number of big announcements in the run up to WrestleMania 31.
AJ Lee and Paige will team up to take on the Bella Twins whilst the John Cena vs Rusev US title match was also confirmed.
The big news of the night though saw The Undertaker finally respond to Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania challenge, accepting the match that will mark his 23rd appearance on the grandest stage of them all.
The Undertaker's return for WrestleMania XXXI had been in some doubt after concerns about his health and fitness were raised recently but it looks like The Dead Man is not going to let his time in the limelight end with a defeat.
His loss to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX saw his perfect streak come to an end. Will Bray Wyatt be on the receiving end as The Undertaker looks for revenge at the end of this month?
