With Arsenal's arch rivals Tottenham also showing interests, Wenger may have to take quick action to secure a deal which could be worth around £4 million.

2. Virgil Van Dijk

Celtic could be losing there highly rated defender who is open to a move to a bigger club after two successful season's in Scotland which has seen him win two league titles.

The Dutchman may be on his way across the border for a new challenge in the English Premier League, and he has proved that he is capable of playing in the biggest league in the world.

At the age of twenty-three he could be the long term solution. His current club have put an affordable price tag on the young defender which is 10 million pounds.

3. Tyrone Mings

The young player who was relatively unknown before he caught the eye for Ipswich Town in the second tier can play in two different roles: as a centre-back and a left-back.

He could be a bargain if he performs well at the top level. Ipswich value the 21-year-old at £10 million and Arsenal could purchase him for even less.

4. Martin Montoya

Montoya is a graduate from the Barcelona academy and has played for the Catalan club since the age of eight. However, a lack of game time under Barca boss Luis Enrique has left the right-back frustrated.

Arsenal have work to do if they are to sign the Spaniard this summer as Premier League rivals Liverpool are also keen on a move. To make it even more difficult Italian champions Juventus are said to be favourites to take him to Turin.
