Cristiano Ronaldo failed to celebrate as teammate Gareth Bale found the back of the net for Real Madrid last night.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the Portuguese superstar turned away in dismay as Bale opened the scoring in a 2-0 victory for Carlo Ancelotti's side in what proved to be an important win for the La Liga giants over Levante.
Ronaldo, who recently insisted that he wouldn't talk to the press again this season after Real were beaten at the hands of Schalke in mid-week, is seemingly unhappy with certain things in Spain, and proved a frustrated figure at the Bernabeu last night.
In fact, it was his acrobatic shot that was saved which ultimately saw Bale smash the ball home for the first goal of the evening, however the ex-Manchester United man raised his arms in disappointment, failing to celebrate with Bale and Co.
Ultimately, Ronaldo seemed in greater spirits after he set up Bale for the Welshman's second of the night, but his reaction to the opener certainly came as a surprise.
Bale, meanwhile, also caused a stir with his reaction after finding the back of the net - the ex-Tottenham ace opted to cover his ears after being the subject of abuse in recent weeks.
The Spanish faithful have booed the versatile forward in recent weeks, with the player having previously gone eight matches without a goal in the famous white shirt.
Bale, though, hit back in style with an important brace last night, with attentions now turning to next weekend's El Clasico.
The clash with Barcelona will no doubt prove the biggest match of the season for Bale and Co. as they go in search of domestic glory this season.
With Real currently trailing the Catalans by one point at the top of the division, both sides will be desperate to claim the points ahead of the final stages of the season.
Things aren't right
There's no doubt about it, things aren't quite going to plan for Ancelotti and Co. at the Bernabeu right now.
Despite the fact that the club are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and still in with a great chance of landing the league title this term, the club's biggest superstars don't appear to be happy. It's certainly a bizarre situation and something that needs to be sorted sooner rather than later.
They may well be enduring a tricky time, but the duo of Ronaldo and Bale will be key to Real's chances of landing silverware this season.
