Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud has made a bold promise to make amends against AS Monaco this week after his poor performance during the first-leg of the Champions League round of 16 stage. The France international attracted plenty of critics after a drab performance at the Emirates Stadium - a match which the Gunners lost 3-1 to set up an extremely difficult second-leg in Monaco - but he’s now vowed to make the difference in the return fixture. Arsenal have to score at least two goals to have any chance of qualifying, but Giroud is in a good vein of form. In transfer news Arsene Wenger could well land a top target this summer, as it’s rumoured that Jose Mourinho will let Petr Cech leave Chelsea as long as he receives a fee of £20 million in return. Arsenal are seeking to bolster the position between the sticks and the Blues ace is a world-class option.
