Gary Cahill has admitted that Chelsea are struggling for form at moment, and are 'desperate' for their next convincing win.
The Blues were held to a 1-1 draw with Southampton yesterday which means they've won just four of their last 12 games, although in that time they secured the Capital One Cup and extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points from rivals Manchester City.
Jose Mourinho's men came in for criticism for their unceremonious exit from the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain last week, and the draw with Southampton did little to improve the mood at Stamford Bridge.
Now Cahill has revealed that Chelsea are seeking a win that will get them back on track as the title race reaches its conclusion.
He said: “We are desperate - desperate is not the right word - we are looking for the next convincing win, next win to get us back up and running,” said Cahill. “It’s not the end of the world. Manchester City dropped points and we picked up another point."
Chelsea want £20 million for Cech
Chelsea are prepared to let Petr Cech leave Stamford Bridge this summer in search of regular first-team football, but only if they receive an offer approaching £20 million for a goalkeeper who they firmly believe remains among the world's very best.
“The goal difference is good, so it’s far from the end of the world. But we are looking for the next result. Obviously, there was disappointment in the week. It’s hard to gather momentum coming into a game when it was disappointing just a few days ago, but I’m sure we will kick on.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho has made Thibaut Courtois his number one this season since his return from his loan spell with Atletico Madrid, and Cech is said to be seeking an exit for regular first team football.
The Mail say that Chelsea are willing to sell up to the likes of Liverpool or Arsenal, but only if they cough up around £20 million.
Chelsea eye shock Falcao move
