When it comes to Roman Reigns, many members of the WWE Universe have been disappointed with the way the company has portrayed him lately.
Much of the negativity surrounding Reigns has come about following his Royal Rumble win back in January, when many fans hoped Daniel Bryan would be the person to shine during the match.
Instead, it was Reigns who WWE favoured and who will face current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar for the title at WrestleMania XXXI in just 11 days time.
Reigns earned the opportunity to face Lesnar for the prestigious belt having overcome Daniel Bryan in a match for the title-match spot.
This win only added to the anger of many WWE fans who feel that Reigns simply is not ready to be in such an enviable position on The Grandest Stage Of Them All. The former member of The Shield has however fought back against his critics, proving he is nothing but confident ahead of his match-up with Lesnar.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, via PWTorch, Reigns made reference to a remark he made about Daniel Bryan chants during a promo on Monday Night Raw, stating:
"If you're a Daniel Bryan fan, I'm all for that. The more people Daniel Bryan will bring into arenas, the better. The more people I bring in, the better. But when I'm talkin', shut the hell up and let me talk."
Unquestionably strong words from someone who has definitely not had the fans on his side of late, but Reigns seems entirely focused on setting his sights on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Title at the Levi's Stadium in California on March 29th.
It seems there is no doubt in Reigns' mind that he will create an historic match with Lesnar on the biggest night in the WWE calendar:
"I'd like to be able to walk to the back thinking, 'can't one of y'all do that'...I want people to take from that match that it was one of the most physical they've ever seen. That's something we're gonna be able to leave behind."
The 29-year-old however, made it clear he will be the one to watch during the match, boasting: "I can do anything I want in that ring. It really comes down to when the time is right, and only when the time is right. Once the bell rings and the punches start flying, I think people are really going to appreciate what's going on."
Whatever your opinion of Roman Reigns it appears one thing is for certain; to him, it does not matter as he believes he can beat Brock Lesnar and become WWE Champion whether he has the support of the crowd or not.
