Are these the brand new Arsenal kits for 2015/16?

Images claiming to be of Arsenal's new home and away kit for the 2015/16 season have been leaked onto the internet.

German sports firm Puma took up reins as the Gunners' shirt sponsor after taking over from Nike in the summer. Their first kit has been worn by the Arsenal senior team this season and has been generally well received.

However the club's fans may not be so receptive this time round if the new pictures, published by TalkSPORT, are real.

They show the home kit is a familiar red with white sleeves and red piping, with white panels down the side. The third shirt, which can be seen in the background of the picture, is largely blue but seems to feature stripes on the lower half of the kit.

Some Arsenal fans seemed to have taken the strip to their hearts. One tweeted: "If this is the Arsenal kit, then it's wonderful work & design by @pumafootball".

However not everyone was as pleased to see the strips; one Twitter user said:  Ugh, new Arsenal 3rd kit is as minging as this season's, but with added NUFC vibes" while another simply added: "CRINGE". Perhaps the most outraged user on the social media site was @corkgooner33 who said: "Rumoured third Arsenal kit next season. I would rather cover myself in cow s***".

Puma announced a five-year deal with Arsenal last year which is said to be worth £30 million each year.

Arsenal are back in action this weekend as they take on Newcastle at St. James' Park. The Gunners currently sit in third place in the Premier League with just one point separating them from Manchester City in second.

What do you make of the leaked Arsenal kit pictures - do you think they're real?
