Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli gave Manchester United fans the finger after supporters of the Red Devils chanted at the controversial Italian.
Balotelli, who featured as a second half substitute during his side's 2-1 defeat to their great rivals, failed to make a real impact on the game, ultimately being shown a yellow card for a foul on United centre-back Phil Jones.
And, after the game, the commotion surrounding the flamboyant forward, didn't go away as the remaining United supporters still at Anfield, chanted 'City reject, City reject' at the front-man.
Despite initially appearing to ignore the chants, the striker then opted to turn his phone towards the fans, quite possibly securing himself a photo.
And finally, before he continued his walk towards the Anfield exit gates, the former Milan man gave the group of fans the finger, which only fuelled them to continue signing against him.
There's no doubt about it, Balotelli has endured a tricky time on Merseyside, and yesterday's game certainly didn't help him in his quest to become a first-team regular under Brendan Rodgers. It certainly looks set to be a big couple of months for the forward as he goes in search of proving himself.
United in the driving seat
Ballotelli and Co. certainly have it all to do in the race to secure elite European football for next season. With the Reds currently five points behind Louis van Gaal's side, they must put together a huge run in the remaining eight fixtures of the season.
After the international break, they travel to the Emirates in a game that they need to win in order to stay in with a chance of claiming a position in the top four of England's elite division. In truth, though, yesterday's result may ultimately prove the turning point.
Manchester United now have the momentum, and it will take something special from Liverpool to stop them now.
