Manchester United fans came out in full force to beg David de Gea to stay at the club after the goalkeeper took to Twitter following the club's crucial 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield yesterday.
De Gea released a photo of himself and his fellow teammates from the Anfield dressing room, claiming the result was an 'amazing win' and 'a great day to remember' as the Red Devils went five points clear of their great rivals in the race to secure Champions League football for next season.
The Red Devils, of course, will be determined to regain their status in Europe's elite competition after a miserable campaign under David Moyes last term.
And, with just eight league games remaining, United are now in the driving seat, and their goalkeeper will no doubt take great credit for helping the club cement their position in the top four.
Surprisingly, however, De Gea had a fairly quiet game on Merseyside yesterday, but was still overjoyed with the victory.
And the United faithful reacted in style...
It's pretty clear that the Old Trafford faithful want him to stay on at the club for the long term, but it remains to be seen as to whether he puts pen to paper in the near future.
De Gea has been the subject of interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid for some time now, so the United hierarchy will have to work hard as they go about keeping the shot-stopper on English soil.
United must keep him
The United No.1 may well be a wanted man, but Louis van Gaal and Co. must do all they can to keep him at the Theatre of Dreams for the foreseeable future. At the end of the day, over the course of the past two seasons, the Spanish international has been the club's outstanding player.
And, at just 24-years-old, De Gea is only going to continue to go from strength-to-strength in the game, and may sooner or late prove himself as the world's best goalkeeper. If United can retain his services, then they have a great starting block as they go in search of sustained success under the Van Gaal regime.
