WWE and Rolling Stone have today confirmed that controversial superstar wrestler Kevin Nash will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.
Nash is reported to be ready to go into the Hall of Fame under his name instead of his WWE name 'Diesel' and a WWE spokesman has also added that Shawn Michaels will be the one to induct him.
"I've been called just about everything, but this is the first time I'll be called a Hall of Famer." wrestlinginc.com reported. "It's nice. It's been a long 25 years, but this business has been great to me. Without wrestling, there's no way I'd be where I am today."
The absent star has previously said that he doesn't see himself ever returning to the ring, thus this will be a fine sending off for him. But one question remains, does he deserve it?
Asked what he would be doing if it wasn't for WWE, and Nash explains, "I'd probably own a strip club someplace."
Furthermore, Nash was suspended from his legends contract in December after a domestic battery arrest following a holiday scuffle with his own son.
Three years ago he also made some controversial Benoit-Guerrero comments that led to Chris Jericho, among other wrestlers, calling Nash out and slamming his comments.
Despite these issues and others, Nash will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. What do WWE fans think about the decision? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
