Vince McMahon has come in for plenty of criticism over the years, but perhaps, the latest is arguably the most brutal.
WWE will again take over the globe on social media when WrestleMania 31 hits Santa Clara, California and millions of television screens across the world on Sunday.
Vince McMahon more than most will be hoping for a seamless build-up to WrestleMania XXXI, one that goes by without controversy. But those plans blew up flames on Tuesday morning after what was a shocking ending to Monday Night Raw.
WWE Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar's and contender Roman Reigns' Raw tug of war was embarrassing, and former WWE writer Vince Russo was the first to tell Vince McMahon what he needs to do to sort out the problems in WWE. That's right. RETIRE!
"WWE should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for going into WM with lame !@#$% finish. Starts & ends w/Vince. You've lost it, boss. Sorry," Vince Russo tweeted on Tuesday.
These comments may seem a bit harsh, but let's assess the facts for a minute. Vince McMahon ran WWE into the ground so much last year that the company had to cut $20 million from their 2014 budget well over half way though the year.
This decision to cut costs led to WWE firing wrestlers and employees, including Vince Russo. Then there was the firing of former WWE champion Alberto Del Rio, who claims to this day that he was racially abused by a WWE employee before he slapped said employee. Safe to say that Vince McMahon did nothing about the alleged racism that is "rampant" in WWE, according to some.
But what do you think WWE fans? Has Vince McMahon really lost the plot and should he retire soon? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
