Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has claimed that Chelsea star Eden Hazard deserves to win this year's Player of the Year award.
As reported by Sky Sports, the former Gunners front man picked the Blues star as the man he thinks deserves to claim the prestigious award, claiming that no one can stop him on his day and that he's a special player.
Henry, of course, is currently working for Sky Sports as a pundit, and he's seen first hand that Hazard has produced the goods time and time again for Jose Mourinho's side in recent time.
In fact, the Belgian international, who is still only 24-years-old, has found the back of the net on 11 occasions this term, as his side go in search of Premier League glory.
And Henry certainly recognises him as a top player, as he stated: "On his day, nobody can stop him. He has such great quality on the ball; he can create something from nothing and that is a sign of a special player."
There's no doubt about it, Hazard has to be involved in the running to secure the award, and will no doubt stand a great chance if he plays his part in helping the Blues get over the line in the race for the title.
After producing another fine display in his side's victory over Hull City at the KC Stadium this past weekend, he will be determined to hit top form between now and the end of the season.
Can get even better
The Chelsea man is arguably the most talented player in England's elite division, and he's certainly shown that at times this season. If anything, though, some may feel that he has even more to give, but he will only improve under the guidance of Mourinho.
Quick, strong and skillfull, he certainly possesses all the attributes to become one of the best in the world, and he can become even better next term.
He may well secure the league's best player this season, but don't put it past him to win it once again in 2015/16 as he continues to prove his credentials on English soil.
