The announcement of Brock Lesnar signing a new deal was probably the biggest news in the WWE since CM Punk decided to leave the company last year.
The Lesnar deal has sent a shockwave through the WWE and it could have a ripple effect which will force drastic changes to WrestleMania 31, which is only a few days.
According to one Redditor, who previously worked for the WWE and has broken a lot of news in the past, Vince McMahon and the WWE creative team could be set to completely re-write the script for the main event following Lesnar's signing. Potential spoilers ahead, but at the moment it should just be treated as a rumour...
Lesnar to Retain?
"The WWE championship match has been heavily discussed since Brock has confirmed to be staying with WWE," MetsFan4Ever wrote. "Writers have been working night and day with Vince, Triple H and their inner circle on possible outcomes for the match."
He then goes on to say that Vince McMahon has been turned around to Triple H's way of thinking, that Lesnar should retain the title rather than the original plan of having Roman Reigns win the belt.
"I am being told that Vince is on board with the idea of having Brock retain the WWE title, Cena win the U.S. title and either Sheamus or Daniel Bryan winning the I.C. title. It is still not confirmed however what role if any Sheamus will play at WrestleMania."
Cena and Bryan
The idea of putting two big stars on the US Title and Intercontinental title would add more legitimacy to the Lesnar retaining idea, because with Lesnar only working a part-time schedule again, it would mean that Cena and Bryan could legitimately headline shows and pay-per-views that Lesnar would not be scheduled to work at.
There have been doubts about Roman Reigns ability to become a main-eventer for months now, and with the WWE being forced to edit out the boos from the super babyface's most recent appearance at Raw, it seems that McMahon may finally be realising that the man he destined for superstardom may not be cut out for it after all.
