A number of fine displays for Louis van Gaal's side has once again made Ashley Young a popular man among Manchester Unite fans, but the winger has also earned some admirers on the blue half of the city.
Young was recently asked to take a selfie with young City fan Annie Taylor and duly obliged, only to drop her phone and break the screen in the process.
Annie would take to Twitter to inform a friend of the incident, who quickly suggested the United ace should step in to get the damage repair, and the United man hasn't disappointed.
Having noticed the pairs conversation on his Twitter, Young contacted Annie, sending her the following tweet: "@_AnnieTaylor so sorry, follow me so I can DM you and get your screen repaired."
Naturally the young City fan has taken Young up on his kind offer and agreed with the cheeky pal who called for Young to step in that the United man was a 'top bloke'.
It's not the first time the one-time England star has showed his human side on the social network site.
Last season he invited a dying United fan to watch a game at Old Trafford with his family in style, arranging a full hospitality package, including box seats at the Theatre of Dreams.
While the selfie story has improved Young's reputation among City fans, it's Red Devils fans who have been most impressed with the 29-year-old.
Having found form and consistency hard to come by since an impressive debut season at Old Trafford, the former Villa man has been one of the shining lights of the van Gaal regime.
While high-profile arrivals have yet to live up to their billing this term, Young has delivered a number of impressive displays and showed his versatility by filling in at left-back earlier in the campaign.
Now with a number of defenders having returned to fitness, Young has found himself back in a more natural attacking position only to see an injury force him off early in the second half of the weekend win at Anfield.
Proving himself under the strict rule of van Gaal has done more than just earn Young a regular spot in the United team, it's also prompted talk of a new United deal.
With his current contract set to expire at the end of the season, The Mirror are reporting Young is one of three United stars set to be offered lucrative new deals, with England duo Chris Smalling and Phil Jones also set to begin contract talks.
