They may each already have their matches booked for WrestleMania XXXI this coming Sunday night, but Roman Reigns wants the former members of the Shield to be in the main event for WrestleMania next year.
Ahead of his WWE World Heavyweight Championship Title match with Brock Lesnar at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday night, Reigns has said he wants a triple-threat main event match against Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins on the biggest night on the WWE calendar next year.
In a talk with The Sun, the 29-year-old spoke of his want for The Shield storyline to come full circle, with the idea of him facing his former stable members having been a hot topic for some time.

It has now been almost a year since The Shield inevitably went their separate ways, but the WWE have understandably not rushed into the idea of pinning the three WWE superstars against each other too quickly, as this idea would still have a huge impact in the future.
With all three of the wrestlers succeeding within WWE in their own unique way, the company has done right in holding off booking such a high-profile match in order to prolong the time they have to prove themselves as individual wrestlers.

Reigns told The Sun: “It should be a triple-threat match. The Shield reunites to fight each other for one more night."
The thought of facing his relative and WWE legend The Rock however, was something Reigns was unsure would happen any time in the near future:
“Where I’m at right now, with our family ties, I don’t really see that happening, but if it did happen, it would be in WWE. Going out on a limb right now, I’d say most likely not, but this is WWE, anything can change.”

It is believed however that should The Rock return for a match in a WWE ring, it would have to be against someone of a prestigious position at the company, such as Brock Lesnar. Seeing as Lesnar has recently confirmed his decision to continue his contract with WWE, it is possible that this could be a match to take place at a WrestleMania in the near future.
For now however, the three former members of The Shield will be focusing on their matches at WrestleMania XXXI which takes place on Sunday night.
Seth Rollins finds himself in an enticing match up with long-term rival Randy Orton, while Dean Ambrose is one of the participants in the Intercontinental Championship Title Ladder match.
As for Roman Reigns, he has a huge task ahead of him in facing WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar for the coveted Title. With Seth Rollins able to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase at any time, it could well be that we see at least two former members of The Shield face each other sooner rather than later, whether it be at WrestleMania XXXI or not.
