Liverpool still believe they will sign Burnley striker Danny Ings this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The report has claimed that, despite the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund and Real Sociedad having an interest in his signature, the Reds believe they will land him sooner rather than later.

Uncertain future

Ings, of course, runs out of contract at Turf Moor at the end of the season, and has even been linked with a move to Manchester United of late, however it appears that he still hasn't made his mind up over his long term future.

There's no doubt about it, he'd prove quite the coup for Brendan Rodgers' side after enjoying such a fine campaign in the Premier League this term.

Despite Burnley's struggles at the wrong end of the league table, he's managed to find the back of the net on nine occasions and could yet help the club stay in England's elite division.

However, once the season reaches its end, it appears that he's set for bigger and better things, with a move to Liverpool seemingly possible.

Deserves it

There's no doubt about it, Ings, at just 23-years-old, is set for a bright future in the game, and would certainly become a star under Brendan Rodgers at Anfield.

At the end of the day, the likes of Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli have failed to produce the goods this term, so Ings would certainly improve the club's front line.
