Ever since his NXT debut, superstar Hideo Itami has been hounded by the crowd to hit the GTS.

The move was created by the Japanese superstar who was formerly known as Kenta and hasn't been used in WWE since CM Punk's departure in January last year.

Big moment

Every time Itami put an opponent on his shoulders, the audience would chant for the GTS but it seemed WWE weren't ready for the current NXT superstar to hit the move that was made famous by the former World Champion, but now Itami has finally given in to the WWE Universe and during a match with Tyler Breeze at the NXT live event last night the move was finally landed.

Itami has been using the diving double foot stomp and single leg running drop kick as his two finishers since joining NXT late last year, but now finally he has used the move he was famous for creating, in a WWE arena.

He was also famous as being the superstar who created Daniel Bryan's running high knee but since Bryan is still currently using the move in WWE, it's unlikely Itami will modify the move to go into his move-set, especially with his call up to the main roster drawing ever closer.

Itami is set to be the only NXT superstar representing the development territory this weekend at WrestleMania after he shocked the WWE Universe and defeated Tyler Breeze, Finn Balor and Adrian Neville in Thursday's fatal four way match to earn the right to be in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

Big things to come

Many thought that Adrian Neville was due the call up and had been ready for months to finally come into the main picture, but it seems WWE are still not ready to unveil Neville because there is still debate about the Mighty Mouse gimmick that was rumored to have been his new character.

This is great news for Itami who along with Charlotte and Finn Balor was named in a list of NXT talent that WWE were hoping to debut on the main roster in the coming weeks in the hope they would make the impact that Rusev and Paige made last year.

The first thing on Itami's list right now needs to be to make an impression in the Battle Royal though to prove he deserves his place and to pick up a lasting feud that will hopefully see him dominate on the main brand.
