WWE fans enjoyed what was a thoroughly entertaining WrestleMania 31 on Sunday which was full of plenty of twists and turns.

The biggest twist of the night was Seth Rollins decision to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and subsequently take the WWE Heavyweight Championship title by pinning Roman Reigns.

But as equally entertaining was Triple H's battle of the legends with former WCW star and legendary wrestler Sting.

Nasty injury

Sting came out on the losing side in a great match with Triple H, and HHH's general performance was all the more impressive due to the fact that he suffered a nasty leg injury during the match.

"Triple H suffered a nasty leg injury during his WrestleMania 31 match with Sting. His upper left leg gained visible purple and red bruising as the match went on, with the depth of bruising getting more and more aggravated," WhatCulture reported on Monday.

Triple H has a history of suffering muscle tears and the website speculated that that was the initial thought after HHH had suffered the injury.

Not serious?

Nonetheless, Triple H appeared later on in the show in a segment with The Rock and Ronda Rousey. Wearing a suit at that point, HHH seemed to be moving around okay, and WhatCulture has subsequently suggested that the injury may not be too serious.

"As such, the bruising is probably attributable to a less serious injury. If he had suffered a major injury, he would have struggled to take that Rousey bump," WhatCulture added.

Regardless of the seriousness of Triple H's injury, WrestleMania 31 was an unequivocal success. It now seems likely that Triple H is building for a match with The Rock next year in Texas.

But what do you think WWE fans? Who should HHH face next year at WrestleMania 32? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
