To say that Steve Austin and the WWE are not seeing eye to eye at the moment would be a huge understatement.
Despite the return of several legends in some kind of capacity at WrestleMania 31 on Sunday, Stone Cold remained in the dark and nowhere to be seen.
There have been many rumors as to why the WWE legend was not present in any capacity for the WWE's biggest event of the year, but one report today by Wrestling News is the most compelling information on the matter yet.
It was revealed on Friday that Stone Cold had made the decision to not attend WrestleMania 31, which was subsequently followed by reports that he was frustrated with Vince McMahon over a burning issue.
Turns out that that burning issue, as reported by Wrestling News on Monday, is that Austin is angry at Vince McMahon for reneging on a plan to allow Austin to do podcasts on the WWE Network.
"WWE announced during WrestleMania that Chris Jericho will be doing his live podcast on the WWE Network and will be interviewing John Cena a week from now (April 6th)," Wrestling News reported.
"So it looks like the reports of friction between Austin and McMahon are true because the podcast deal was originally for Austin."
These reports are pretty worrying for fans who want to see Stone Cold Steve Austin back in action at WrestleMania 32 next year in Texas, and it means that Vince McMahon will likely have to do a lot of grovelling in the meantime.
