Manchester United hero Bryan Robson has hailed Ander Herrera, insisting that he has a number of qualities, but must now start to produce the goods on a consistent basis for the club.
As reported by the club's official website, Robson, who previously captained the Red Devils during his playing days, has insisted that he likes Herrera's movement off the ball, and believes the Spaniard brings a great deal of energy to the side.
Herrera has had an up and down start to his United career, having struggled for opportunities under Dutch boss Louis van Gaal at times throughout the course of the campaign, however he's played a key role in recent weeks, enjoying strong performances in key wins over the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham.

And now Robson is hoping to see him continue to progress on English soil, as the Red Devils go in search of long term success under Van Gaal.
"Ander started off the season well and he’s got a lot of energy," Robson told ManUtd.com. "He is always on the move, trying to close people down really quickly.

"He has got a lot of qualities really, it’s just getting them out of him on a consistent basis. But he has got that in his locker, maybe it’s just taken him and a few of the new signings time to adapt to the Premier League.
"He is quite good defensively and, when I watch him, I can see he has a lot of energy and he does like to get involved. What I like about him is that, when people are on the ball, he is always on the move to try and receive the pass."
Herrera has certainly impressed in recent weeks, and the United faithful will now be hoping he has a strong end to the season as the club go in search of qualifying for next season's Champions League competition.
Herrera and Mata
The link up play between Herrera and Juan Mata has been outstanding of late, and the duo must now continue to prove their credentials over the coming weeks.
If their partnership continues to blossom between now and the end of the campaign, then United have more than enough creative flair to end in the top four. The victory over Liverpool at Anfield will no doubt give the club huge momentum, but it was also a fine game for the likes of Herrera and Mata, who may now go from strength-to-strength at the Theatre of Dreams.
Herrera has the quality to be a key man for United for many years and his partnership with Mata can bring joy to the United faithful.
