According to the Daily Mirror, the 27-year-old winger can leave Barcelona for £15m. That seems like a reasonable price for a World Cup winner, although Pedro has just 15 months on his Barcelona contract.
As a result, the Catalan club are in a bit of a bind regarding his future, as they'll have to sell this summer if they want to recoup any value.
Liverpool and Arsenal have been strongly linked with Pedro for several years now, and while Barcelona are reluctant to see a player of his quality depart, they're happy to cash-in at the £15m asking price.
Since the arrival of Neymar and Luis Suarez in consecutive summer transfer windows, Pedro has been sidelined and has often featured as a substitute.
Luis Enrique's first choice front three has been Neymar, Suarez and Leo Messi, which means Pedro has been pushed out of the starting eleven.
The situation he would find himself in is equally crowded should he move to the Emirates Stadium. Alexis Sanchez, who joined from Barca, plays alongside Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla while Arsene Wenger can also pick Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Danny Welbeck in attacking positions.
Pedro would undoubtedly be a useful addition for the Gunners, but he's likely to find a better chance of regular football at Liverpool.
The Reds need help going forward, as Danny Sturridge and Raheem Sterling have been forced to carry the scoring load largely unassisted. The transfers of Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli have not worked out, so when Sturridge was sidelined, the club slipped down the table.
With the England man back, they're on the rise again but Brendan Rodgers would surely love to snap up an attacker like Pedro for a relatively cheap price.
Much will depend of course on whether the Merseyside club can secure Champions League qualification, with Pedro unlikely to jump ship from a CL contender to a team outside the competition.
