Willian featured for Brazil as they overcame Sanchez's Chile by one goal to nil at the Emirates yesterday afternoon, and the Blues ace has claimed that the versatile Gunners forward is a 'wonderful player' who can win games for his team.
The duo, of course, are Premier League rivals, with their respective clubs battling it out towards the top of England's elite division. Chelsea are closing in on the title, while Arsenal are currently the in-form side in the division and will be targeting a second place finish over the coming weeks.
And, Sanchez, who moved to north London from Spanish giants Barcelona this past summer, has been one of the stars of the campaign so far.
Willian certainly recognises his talents as he told reporters: "Well, at first you look at him and think, 'He's short for a forward payer and he doesn't look all that strong.' But that's totally deceptive.
"He creates all kinds of problems for defences. As well as having a lot of skills and technique, he can also shield and protect that ball very well.
"He can dribble, has a great finish, and he's not afraid to take responsibility and lead from the front.
"He's a forward but also a playmaker who will win games for his team. He's a wonderful player."
Indeed, with 13 Premier League goals this term, the Gunners ace has certainly taken the Premier League by storm and will no doubt be hoping to enjoy a strong end of the season.
There's no doubt about it, Sanchez deserves a great deal of praise for his debut season in north London. Despite a few struggles in recent weeks, he's been a breath of fresh air for the division and will only continue to prove his credentials over the coming years.
A summer of rest will certainly help him recover and become a force to be reckoned with in the 2015/16 campaign. Expect Sanchez to deliver once again next term; Premier League defenders should be worried.
And if the Gunners can add one or two top names in the summer window then they have a great chance of claiming the Premier League title next season.
