Chelsea goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon has insisted that Petr Cech is in a difficult situation at Stamford Bridge with Belgian youngster Thibaut Courtois now ahead of him in the pecking order.
As reported by the London Evening Standard, Lollichon has hailed Cech and Courtois as the two best goalkeepers in world football, insisting that the former has been a fine professional throughout the course of the campaign despite often playing as a backup under Jose Mourinho.
Change at Chelsea
Cech, who will no doubt go down as a Blues legend when he finally decides to leave Stamford Bridge behind, has had to settle for a place on the bench more often than not this term, with Courtois now recognised as the club's No.1 after arriving at the club following a three year loan spell at Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid.

And Lollichon has insisted that it's not been easy for Cech, but it's boss Jose Mourinho who decides which star to play.
The Chelsea coach told the Standard: “It’s not easy because you’ve got a goalkeeper like Petr who is at the top of his form.

“I have a relationship with Petr, who is a special person. We’ve been working together (at Chelsea) for eight years. Our relationship goes beyond just the sporting side.
“There is always that moment when a young goalkeeper arrives.
"The decision to make Thibaut No1 is the manager’s (Jose Mourinho). Then, if it’s a question of rotation, we might discuss it. But above all, it’s the manager’s call.
“We have two of the best three keepers in the world. It’s an advantage.
“Whether you start with one or the other, it doesn’t change anything. Either way, the opponent has a phenomenal goalkeeper against them."
It remains to be seen as to whether Cech will opt to depart the club at the end of the campaign, but he's certainly recognised as an exceptional talent by his coach.
Lollichon continued by saying: “We speak a lot. We’re talking about clever lads. Petr helps Thibaut. He is not going to drop banana skins in front of him. At half time we all talk together. After matches too.
“Petr is doing well, even though his current situation is not that easy. We’re talking about someone remarkable, with values, who is not going to hide away because he’s lost his No1 spot. He keeps working as if he is going to play every weekend.”
Cech deserves a big move
At the end of the day, the shot-stopper is far too good to be sitting on the Chelsea bench, so deserves to move to a top club at the end of the campaign.
Of course one club that have been linked with his services are Chelsea's Premier League rivals Arsenal, and Cech would only improve Arsene Wenger's side as they go in search of glory.
Ultimately the Gunners have struggled in the goalkeeping department for some time now, so surely they will at least make an attempt to land the Chelsea man. The Chelsea man probably deserves his pick of clubs, but you wouldn't blame Mourinho for not wanting to see him ply his trade at Arsenal.
