TNA Impact Wrestling will now air once again in Canada exclusive to the Fight Network. It's almost like it's timed to perfection by the Fight Network and TNA to ensure they are capitalising on Wrestlemania and the spiked interest in wrestling.

Since Impact's move to Destination America from SpikeTV earlier this year, Canadians had to tune in to Impact Wrestling's YouTube channel instead of their TVs. So this is a move that will no doubt please wrestling fans across the pond, who've been without the number one wrestling alternative to the WWE.

With news in recent weeks of international broadcasting deals being brokered in Brazil, Finland, Germany and now Canada, it will expand the company and their flagship show can now be seen in over 125 countries around the world. It starts this coming Friday 3rd April in the 9pm (Eastern) time slot and at the same time as their southern neighbours in America.

Despite this, it has meant Canadians have missed the huge six weeks of UK taped shows which brought huge surprises, title changes and big storyline moves.

Canadian fans unfortunately won't notice a huge amount of difference between the former SpikeTV era and the present Destination America era. This despite Dixie Carter's assurances in the media interviews during December and January of big changes and post production magic upcoming on Impact. Presently the most obvious sign of this is the ring, arena lighting and split screen commentary.

GiveMeSport has been told by TNA that the changes are going to be done gradually, so the fans are eased in. Dixie has said they want to be unique and different from other televised wrestling, which at present is the WWE, however with Jeff Jarrett’s incoming Global Force Wrestling announcing TV tapings in May, June and July in Las Vegas, they may need to up their game in the face of new competition.
