Good morning Chelsea fans and welcome to your daily roundup! Focusing on the juiciest information we could get our paws on we’ve detailed a selection to shock, interest and ultimately get your brain’s cogs turning efficiently.

With today being April Fools’ day it’s been even more difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff, if you catch our drift, so in the end we decided to throw the best bits into one bundle and let you decide what you think is a realistic rumour or just a painstaking prank.

Cech should join Arsenal?

Topping the bill today is quotes from Carlo Cudicini discovered after we stumbled across a Daily Mail article. The former Stamford Bridge fan favourite was a positive character during his time in west London but it’s without doubt that we can predict he won’t be flavour of the month after his latest statement.

The Italian, asked to comment on the future of former teammate and positional rival Petr Cech, has revealed that he believes Jose Mourinho’s veteran goalkeeper would be a perfect signing for Arsenal, implying that the Gunners must move for the 32-year-old come the summer.

Naturally of all the clubs vying for the Czech Republic international’s signature Arsenal rank lowest when it comes to where Chelsea fans would like to see him end up, and it might surprise them to see Cudicini make such a statement.

"Arsenal have had a few problems with goalkeepers after [David] Seaman and [Jens] Lehmann," Cudicini said.

"Szczesny is still struggling to impose himself as number one, so if a goalkeeper like Petr Cech is available in the summer, obviously he should be a big target for Arsenal."

Of course in truth Cech would be within his rights to ensure that he’s playing at the best club possible given his outstanding ability and proven track record, and that could well lead him to one of Chelsea’s rivals. The Premier League is considered the best division in the world by many and departing it would see him having to uproot his family.

Walcott interest

We’re not sure if this next one is a poor attempt at an April Fools' day gag but if it is then there’s a sports journalist somewhere with far too much time on their hands. Chelsea want to buy Arsenal star Theo Walcott.

That’s right, we warned you it was far-fetched. The story focuses on the Blues’ supposed keenness to ensure they comply with the home-grown quota rules the Premier League has in place, though even then we feel the need to throw out a disclaimer and say we’re not fully behind the plausibility.

Juve's double swoop

Last but not least Juventus have been earmarked for a double swoop on Mourinho’s midfield, with Oscar and Ramires on the radar.

The Brazilian pair are wanted by the Turin giants, who might well lose Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal this summer, though no confirmation of that fact has been forthcoming from either club.
