Pavel Nedved has confirmed that Barcelona are interested in Juve midfielder Paul Pogba.
The former Ballon D’Or winner, who is now a director at his former club, said: “We know that Barca and other big clubs want him. But he has a contract with us.”
Pogba’s current deal, which he signed earlier this season, runs until 2019, and the French international has been linked with a return to former club Manchester United.
He has been ruled out for two months after picking up an injury in the Old Lady’s 3-0 Champions League round-of-16 second leg win over Borussia Dortmund in March.
Speaking about Pogba’s injury, the Czech told Mundo Deportivo: “He is a player of great quality but we will not get to mourn.”
Since making his international debut two years ago, Pogba has featured 17 times for France, including at last summer’s World Cup in Brazil where he scored against Nigeria in the first knockout round.
He has managed to form an influential partnership with experienced Italian Andrea Pirlo in a midfield that has helped Juve win the last two Serie A titles, with a third consecutive one with the duo looking likely as they currently sit 14 points clear of second-placed Roma.
