Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata has revealed that Chelsea captain John Terry is the toughest defender to play against.
Speaking in a video United uploaded to their official Facebook page, the tricky Spaniard insisted that the Blues ace is a 'very difficult' opponent.
Terry is the toughest
Mata, of course, previously starred alongside Terry at Stamford Bridge before moving to Old Trafford in January of last year, however the Spanish ace clearly still holds his former skipper in high regard.
When asked which defender is the toughest to play against, he claimed: "Well, I think now for example John Terry is very difficult."
Chelsea is certainly in the past for Mata, though, as he looks to prove his credentials at Manchester United. In fact, the Spaniard has been in top form for Louis van Gaal's side of late, and will no doubt be hoping to star once again as the Red Devils play host to Aston Villa tomorrow afternoon.
Class of Terry
Terry, on the other hand, should be in action as Chelsea play host to Stoke City as they look to extend their lead at the top of England's elite division.
It's certainly hard to argue with Mata's comments on Terry as the Blues man has been one of the standout players of the campaign.
Despite entering the latter stages of his career, Terry only appears to be going from strength-to-strength under Mourinho, and may well lead his side to glory over the coming months.
