Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has revealed that Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard is his Player of the Year for this season, reports the Express.
The Belgian ace, who plays alongside Hazard on the international scene, has insisted the Blues forward is a 'great player', who is very quick and has strong legs.
There's no doubt about it, Hazard has been one of the standout players in the division this term, having netted 12 league goals for the Blues in their search to secure the Premier League title.
In fact, the 24-year-old has been the club's talisman throughout the course of the campaign and has only gone from strength-to-strength under the guidance of Jose Mourinho in recent months.
Fellaini, who has also been in outstanding form of late, certainly rates the Blues man as the league's best, as when asked who deserves to be handed the Player of the Year award by the Match of the Day magazine, he responded by saying: "Eden Hazard. It's true he is quick and has very strong legs, so he turns quickly.
"It's hard to get the ball off him, but it's possible! Ha ha! He's a great player."
In truth, Hazard is one of the main contenders for the Player of the Year award, while Fellaini's club teammate David de Gea may well also be in the running for the prize.
English youngster Harry Kane, who has fired 19 league goals this term, could also be in contention, but Chelsea's main man Hazard is certainly the favourite to pick up the prestigious honour.
Both men are key
It's not entirely surprising that Hazard has been a key man for Mourinho's side this term. At the end of the day, he's already recognised as one of the most talented players in world football, so should be producing the goods week in, week out at the Bridge.
Fellaini, on the other hand, deserves special praise for his remarkable form this term. After a season to forget under David Moyes at the Theatre of Dreams in the 2013/14 campaign, the midfielder has hit his very best form this time around, and is now a key man under Louis van Gaal.
Fans of Chelsea will no doubt be expecting Hazard to fire them to the title over the coming weeks, while the Old Trafford faithful will be hoping Fellaini continues his hot streak as the club look to cement their place in next year's Champions League competition.
