Patrick Peterson confirms being diagnosed for diabetes

We begin in the NFL where Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson has confirmed that he was diagnosed with diabetes early in the 2014 season. The Arizona Cardinals star admitted it has made a big difference but assured fans the situation is now under control. Across to college basketball and Duke are this year’s NCAA Tournament winners. The Blue Devils defeated Wisconsin 68-63 in the Championship Game last night to secure their fifth national title. Meanwhile, in the NBA, the Brooklyn Nets continued their impressive run of form with a win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Brook Lopez was the star of the show, scoring 32 points to help the Nets improve their playoff chances. Finally, in baseball, Yankees fans gave Alex Rodriguez a standing ovation as he completed his first game since September 2013. The controversial star couldn’t help the team to victory though with New York going down 6-1 versus Toronto.
